2016

The company started with voice only products. Cape Town office opened and first customer onboarded.

2020

Backspace introduced its Plug and Play PBX solution with a deployment time of 3 working days. Launch of Lanline Technologies subsidiary.

2021

1000th customer onboarded. Opening of Johannesburg and Langebaan offices.

2022

Introduction of the Reverse Bill URL into the Backspace environment.

2023

R100 000 000+ turnover reached. Opening of Durban office.

2024

Launch of a fully-fledged ISP for both consumer and business — channel and direct.

2026

Parent company Backspace is now focused on Enterprise and Wholesale clients with optimised Reverse Bill URL and APN solutions. Lanline Technologies is focused solely on Consumer clients.
